Turbocharger Tightening Specifications And Sequence

NOTE:
Replace the stud bolts and the nuts.
-- Tighten the bolts and nuts in seven steps in the sequence shown:
| Step | Bolts/Nuts | Tightening Specification/Residual Torque |

| 1. | Stud bolts for the nuts -1 and 2-. | 10 Nm |
| 2. | -1 and 2- | Install all the way in by hand. |
| 3. | -1 and 2- | 9 Nm |
| 4. | -1 and 2- | Tighten an additional 90° |
| 5. | -3, 4, and 5- | Install all the way in by hand. |
| 6. | -3 and 4- | 9 Nm |
| 7. | -5- | 23 Nm |
