Schematic Overview - Fuel System

1. Fuel Metering Valve -N290-
   • Do not open
2. High Pressure Pump
   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - HIGH PRESSURE PUMP .
3. Fuel Rail
   • For cylinder bank 1 (right)
4. Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276-
   • Tightening specification. Refer to  11.
   • Cannot be used again
   • After replacing, perform an adaptation. Refer to :Vehicle Diagnostic Tester  using the, Guided Functions 
   • Removing and installing. Refer to Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • With biting edge for sealing
5. Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247-
   • Tightening specification. Refer to  11.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Cannot be used again
   • With biting edge for sealing
6. Fuel Rail
   • For cylinder bank 2 (left)
7. Injector
   • Removing and installing. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
8. Fuel Supply Hose
   • Do not disassemble
   • Replace completely along with the restrictor
9. Restrictor
   • There is remaining pressure in the fuel supply hoses
   • Not able to be replaced separately; replace the fuel supply hoses if they are faulty
10. Transfer Fuel Pump -G6-
11. Fuel Filter

-- Align the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276- so that connecting the connector -arrow- does not cause the wiring to be placed under tension.

-- Counterhold the housing hex bolt to tighten union nut on regulator valve in four stages as follows:

-- Tighten the Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- in four steps as follows:

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Socket - 27 mm :T40218 
• Torque Wrench
