Reducing Agent Tank, Draining: Procedure

WARNING:
The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.
- Always observe the safety precautions when working with reducing agent. Refer to SCR SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Wear protective eyewear.
Danger due to reducing agent leaking out.
- To prevent large amounts of reducing agent from leaking out when opening the metering line, wait for the recirculation process to complete. Refer to SCR SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS => Reducing Agent, Automatic Regeneration .
-- Turn off the ignition.
-- Open the fuel filler door.
-- Remove cover -2- from the reducing agent filler tube
NOTE:
Ignore item -1-.
-- Remove bolts and nuts -arrow-, and remove the tank cover -1-.
-- Place the drip tray underneath.
NOTE:
To catch escaping reducing agent place a clean cloth under the separation point.
-- Remove cap -arrow-, by pressing the release button, drain the reducing agent into the drip tray, and remount the cap.
After Filling, the Following Steps Must Be Performed.
-- Adapting adaptation value after draining reducing agent or replacing components. Refer to SCR-SYSTEM ADAPTATION VALUE, ADAPTING .
