Reducing Agent Tank, Draining: Procedure

WARNING:

The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.

Always observe the safety precautions when working with reducing agent. Refer to SCR SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Wear protective eyewear.

Danger due to reducing agent leaking out.

To prevent large amounts of reducing agent from leaking out when opening the metering line, wait for the recirculation process to complete. Refer to SCR SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS => Reducing Agent, Automatic Regeneration .

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Open the fuel filler door.

-- Remove cover -2- from the reducing agent filler tube

NOTE:

Ignore item -1-.

-- Remove bolts and nuts -arrow-, and remove the tank cover -1-.

-- Place the drip tray underneath.

NOTE:

To catch escaping reducing agent place a clean cloth under the separation point.

-- Remove cap -arrow-, by pressing the release button, drain the reducing agent into the drip tray, and remount the cap.

After Filling, the Following Steps Must Be Performed.
