Overview - Muffler, Vehicles With A Turbocharger With A SCR-System

- Y Pipe
- Original equipment as one unit with rear mufflers.
- The Y pipe and the rear muffler can be replaced individually if a repair is required.
- Separating point between Y pipe and rear muffler. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .
- Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Bolt
- 23 Nm
- Suspended Mount
- Replace if damaged.
- Check pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Front Exhaust Pipe
- With decoupling element, decoupling element must not be bent more than 10° - otherwise it may be damaged
- Protect from shocks and impact stress
- Removing and installing. Refer to FRONT EXHAUST PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION/MULTITRONIC .
- Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

- Particulate Filter
- With catalytic converter
- With a pressure line for the Differential Pressure Sensor -G505-, refer to -item 10-.
- Removing and installing. Refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH FWD .
- After replacing, perform an Adaptation in Guided Functions . Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- Coat the thread with hot bolt paste.

- SCR Catalytic Converter
- Removing and installing. Refer to SCR CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- For engine code CPNB: After replacing, perform an adaptation in Guided Functions using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Clamping Sleeve
- Before tightening, align exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Installed position. Refer to 17
- Tighten threaded connections evenly.

- Rear Muffler
- Original equipment as one unit with Y pipe
- The Y pipe and the rear muffler can be replaced individually if a repair is required.
- Separating point between Y pipe and rear muffler. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .
- Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

- For the tail pipe
- Depending on version
- Push all the way onto the tail pipe
- Suspended Mount
- Replace if damaged.
- Check pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

- Rear Clamping Sleeve
- For individual replacement of double pipes and rear mufflers
- Before tightening, align exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Installed position. Refer to 17
- Tighten threaded connections evenly.
