Front Exhaust Pipe, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With S TRONIC Transmission 0CK: Removing

When working on the whole exhaust system:

Follow the safety precautions when working on the exhaust system. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- From above remove the nuts that are accessible -2- to remove the exhaust Pipe.

NOTE:

The nut -1- and bolt -3- will be removed later.

-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the bolt -3-.

-- Slightly lift the exhaust manifold with particulate filter and remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and nuts -2-.
