Roof Trim Molding, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Open the front door.

-- A5 Sportback: open the rear door.

-- Open the hood.

-- Remove the door seal for the roof trim molding. Refer to ROOF TRIM MOLDING DOOR SEAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- HAVE A SECOND TECHNICIAN HOLD THE ROOF TRIM MOLDING -1- SO THAT THE PAINT IS NOT DAMAGED.

-- Drill out the rivet heads -arrows- and strike the rivet shaft.

• Do Not Bend The Roof Trim Molding.

-- Remove the roof trim molding -1- from the body.

-- A5 Coupe:  remove the roof trim molding from the connecting clamp from the side window trim molding -2- -arrow A- and remove from the clamp -3- -B arrows-.

-- A5 Sportback:  remove the roof trim molding from the connecting cable of the side window trim molding -2-.

-- Remove The Roof Trim Molding.
