Drain Pipe, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Open the glass panel and leave it open.

-- Lower the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the sliding sunroof motor. Refer to SUNROOF MOTOR -V1-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 .

-- Right: remove the Power Sunroof Control Module -J245-. Refer to SUNROOF CONTROL MODULE -J245-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 .

-- Mark the routing of the drain and guide tube -1 and 2- as well as the wiring harnesses -3-.

-- Insert the drill bit -4- with a diameter of 13 mm between the drain pipe -1- and sunroof frame -arrow B-.

-- Apply the marking -6- to apply the clips -5- on the drain tube -1-.

-- Check if the drain tube -1- is routed at least to the end of the clips -5-.

-- Mark the position of the cable tie -arrow A- and loosen.

-- Loosen the drain tube -1- from the clip -5- and out of the catches -C arrows-.

-- Remove the drain tube -1- outward.
