Glass Trim, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Open the glass panel.

-- Push the sealing lip on the windshield cover profile with the cut out protection -1- from the :VAS861 001A as far as possible downward -arrow-.

CAUTION:

Risk Of Injury To The Hands And Eyes From Glass Fragments.

Getting cut is possible.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Wear safety gloves.

-- Guide the :VAS861 001/1A around the glass panel and let both ends -arrows- go over the glass panel on the lower right side.

-- Secure the removal tool with the reel device -2- and :VAG1344 on the windshield.

-- Secure the outer end of the :VAS861 001/1A to the :VAG1344 and the inner end to the removal device.

-- To guide the cord better, place the trim wedge -1- from the :VAS861 001A underneath it.

-- Cut free the glass trim as far as possible.

-- Move the tools in the direction of the center of the window glass and cut free the remaining section.

-- Remove the glass trim.
