Passenger Compartment Forced Air Extraction, Removing And Installing: Removing

Audi A3 Sedan, Audi A3 Cabriolet & Audi Q2

-- Remove The Rear Bumper Cover. Refer to REAR BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Audi A3 Sedan

-- If the left ventilation frame is going to be removed and reused, remove the left luggage compartment trim panel (luggage compartment trim panel without cover). Refer to OVERVIEW - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL .

Audi A3 Cabriolet & Audi Q2

-- If the removed vent frame (left or right) is to be reused, remove the respective luggage compartment trim panel (luggage compartment trim panel without cap). Refer to OVERVIEW - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL .

Audi A3, Audi A3 Sportback

-- Left: Remove the cover in the luggage compartment side trim panel.

All Vehicles (Except Audi A3 Cabriolet & Audi Q2)

With The Rear Bumper Cover Removed

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and remove or press the forced air extraction ventilation frame -1- outward from the body opening.

With the rear bumper cover installed

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and press the forced air extraction ventilation frame -1- outward from the body opening.

-- Remove the ventilation frame -3- downward between the body -2- and the bumper cover -1- (for example on the Audi A3, Audi A3 Sportback)

NOTE:

This illustration shows the right side ventilation frame -3- on a Audi A3 Sportback. The same applies for the left side.

For the sake of clarity, the Audi A3 Sportback rear bumper cover is removed.
