Seat Position Sensor, Removing And Installing: Removing

Before handling airbag units (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fasten the front seat on the :VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the rear bracket for the wire routing from the seat pan with a screwdriver.

-- Separate the cable holder -2 and 5- and cable tie -3 and 4-.

-- Remove the Driver Seat, Driver Seat Position Sensors -G553- /Front Passenger Seat Position Sensors -G554- from the protective cover -1- and free up.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Unclip and disengage the seat position sensor -2- for the lower seat pan -3- -arrow-.

-- Remove the cable ties or cable clips for the wire on the seat pan lower frame.

Driver Seat:

-- Disconnect the connector -2- to the seat belt latch.

-- Remove the seat position sensor -1- with the wire -3-.

Front Passenger Seat:

-- Disconnect the connector -3- to the seat belt latch.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- from the Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module -J706-.

-- Remove the seat position sensor -4- with the wire -1-.
