Pedestrian Protection Crash Sensor -G570- / -G571-, Removing And Installing: Removing
Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING WITH PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS .
-- Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Vehicle versions with a left and right auxiliary radiator: remove the bumper cover. Refer to RADIATOR FAN -V7-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CNSB, CNTC] / RADIATOR FAN -V7- AND RADIATOR FAN 2 -V177-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CRUA, DEJA] / AUXILIARY RADIATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CNSB, CNTC, CYFB] .
-- Remove the bolt -2- and remove the crash sensor -3- for pedestrian protection from the bumper.
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- To do this pull out the connector lock -2-, push down -arrow-, and disconnect the connector -1- on the crash sensor.
