Control Module For Emergency Call Module And Communication Unit -J949-, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment and remove the ignition key.
-- Remove the Instrument Cluster -KX2-. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
-- Release and disconnect the connector -2- from the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- -1-.
-- If equipped, also release and disconnect the connector from the antenna connections.
-- Slightly pull the retainers -3- on the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- -1- upward; by doing so they are released.
-- At the same time, pull the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- out of the bracket -4- toward the rear and remove it.
