Wheel Bearing Unit, Removing And Installing, Multi-Link Suspension Vehicles With Front Wheel Drive: Removing

-- Remove the brake rotor. Refer to REAR BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the dust cap -3- from seat by tapping lightly on claw of the :VW637/2  -2- using the hammer -1-.

-- Press the dust cap off using the :VW637/2  -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -1- with the :T10162A  .

CAUTION:

Never use an impact wrench when loosening the bolt -1- using the :T10162A  .

-- Remove the wheel bearing unit -2- from the axle stub.

CAUTION:
  • When setting down/storing avoid contaminating with dirt and damaging the seal.

The wheel bearing -1- must always face up.
