Mounting Bracket, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the crash bolster. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL .

-- Disconnect the brake pedal from the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, DISCONNECTING FROM BRAKE BOOSTER .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and the footwell trim panel.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and remove the steering intermediate shaft -2- from the steering gear -arrow-.

-- Free up the wire for the accelerator pedal module.

-- Remove the nuts -1 through 4- and pull the mounting bracket slightly toward the rear.

-- Disconnect the connectors -2 and 3-.
