Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal and Note The Following: 

NOTE:

Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

Always replace self-locking nuts and bolts.

Always replace damaged nuts and bolts.

-- Pre-bleed the new Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70- before installing. Refer to BRAKE SYSTEM PRESSURE RESERVOIR -VX70-, PRE-BLEEDING .

-- Insert the Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70- with the bracket into the engine compartment.

-- Position the brake line -1-, install the union bolts -arrows- by hand and tighten them.

-- Remove the Brake Pedal Actuator:VAG1869/2  .

-- Bleed the brake system. Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING .

-- Perform the electro-mechanical brake booster basic setting using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

CAUTION:

High Voltage Is Extremely Dangerous.

Electrocution can cause death or very serious personal injury.

  • Have a "high-voltage technician" put the high-voltage system back into service.

-- Re-energize the high-voltage system. Refer to the appropriate service information .

WARNING:

Risk Of Accident!

  • Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
