Washer Fluid Reservoir, Removing And Installing, AUDI A3 Without Side Auxiliary Cooler: Removing

-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Place a drip tray under the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

-- Air filter housing in front of the battery: Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [For engine(s) CRUA, DEJA] or AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [For engine(s) CNSB, CNTC] .

-- Remove the expanding clip -1-.

-- Remove the filler neck -3- from the bracket on the lock carrier -2-.

-- Remove the filler tube -4- from the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

-- Disconnect the connectors -2, 4 and 5- and loosen the wiring harness -3- from the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

-- Release the locking clamps -6 and 7- in direction of -arrows- and remove the water hose from the windshield washer pump.

-- Press the release button and remove the water hose -1- from the headlamp washer pump.

-- Remove the nut -1- with a commercially available socket wrench extension.

• Socket wrench length extension - minimum 260 mm.

-- Remove the nuts -2 and 4-.

-- Remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir -3- from the front and lower threaded pin in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Pivot the windshield washer fluid reservoir to the rear in direction of -arrow B- and remove.
