Rear Lid, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

-- Disconnect the wires and remove them from the lid.

-- Remove the gas-filled struts. Refer to GAS-FILLED STRUT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING. .

-- For the A3 and Sportback, remove the two bolts on the lid side (refer to HINGES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ) and lift the rear lid.

-- For Sedans, remove the nuts on the lid side (refer to SIDE, LENGTH AND HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT AT HINGE ) and lift the rear lid.
