Hood Release Lever, Removing

Removing

-- The release lever handle is removed. Refer to LATCH RELEASE LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- The lower A-pillar trim panel is removed. Refer to OVERVIEW - A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .

-- Disengage cable -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -4-, release mounting bracket -arrow- and remove from behind from the A-pillar.

• Installing

  -- When installing the mounting bracket on the A-pillar push in until the retainer -arrow- engages.

  -- Tighten the bolt to the tightening specification, engage the cable and clip in the cable bracket.

• Clip the cable bracket into the mounting bracket as shown in the magnified section of the illustration.

• 2 Nm
