Spoiler, Removing And Installing, S3 Sedan: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- The vehicle and the spoiler must be at room temperature.
- The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
-- If the rear lid was damaged, repaired or replaced, the paint structure must be repaired and if necessary, the corrosion protection must be reapplied. Refer to the Audi Paint Handbook.
-- Clean the spoiler contact surface on the rear lid using the Cleaning Solution :D 009 401 04 .
-- Position the spoiler on the read lid to test:
- The rear edge of the spoiler -2- must be flush with the edge -3- on the rear lid.
- The spoiler must be centered on the rear lid: dimension -x- = equal distance to the left and right.
-- Mark the correct spoiler position on the rid lid with tape -1- or template.
-- Apply Bonding Agent :D355 205 A2 -1- uniformly in one stroke on the rear lid adhesive surface -2- using the applicator -3-.
-- Clean the bonding agent treated area with a clean disposable paper towel and let dry for 10 minutes.
-- Fold down the ends -1- of the protective film 90° on the outside of the spoiler.
-- Position the spoiler -2- according to the markings on the rear lid and lightly press on the outside.
-- Slowly remove the protective film -2- on the outside of the spoiler, while doing so be especially careful when removing the area of the adhesive bead -4-, so that the individual protective films -5- remove it with it.
-- Push the spoiler with :3356 along the entire length on the inside (forward direction of travel) from the inside to the outside.
- Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
- It is durable after at least 24 hours.
