12 V Socket -U5-, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- The release tabs -2- on the :T40148 must engage in the openings on the 12 V socket -3- in direction of -arrow- and the threaded pin -1- must slide down as far as the stop.

-- Remove the blind cover -1-.

-- Slide the :T40148 as far as the stop into the 12 V socket -2-.

-- Rotate the thumbwheel -3- on the :T40148 clockwise as far as the stop.

The piston -2- is pulled upward and the release tabs -1- on the :T40148 spread in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the 12 V socket from the illumination ring with the Socket Illumination Bulb -L42- using the :T40148 .

-- Disconnect the connector.

NOTE:

If the power socket 12 V cannot be removed as described, the rear storage compartment inside the center console must be removed (depending on equipment level). Refer to FRONT CENTER CONSOLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
