Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 2.5L TFSI Engine: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, BATTERY IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT .
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to [For engine(s) CRUA, DEJA] Air Filter v.
-- Disconnect the connector -4- by sliding the retainer toward the rear and pressing the release down.
-- Pry off the cap -3-.
-- Remove the terminal 30/B+ wire -1- from the starter.
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
-- Remove the nut -1- and free up the ground cable -3-.
-- Remove the double bolt -2- and remove the starter -4- forward and up.
