Battery, Removing And Installing, Battery In Luggage Compartment: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Vehicle equipment version with mechanical ignition switch: Remove the key.

-- Vehicle equipment version with electronic ignition switch: Remove the key from the vehicle.

-- Lift the luggage compartment floor.

-- Open the cover -3- over the battery negative terminal.

-- Loosen the nut -1- several turns and remove the battery ground cable terminal -2- from the battery terminal.

-- Open the cover -1- over the battery positive terminal.

-- Turn the nut -3- several turns and remove the battery positive cable terminal clamp -2- from the battery positive terminal.

-- Remove the nuts -2 and 3- and remove the bracket -4-.

-- Remove the battery cover -6-.

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the battery bracket -3- upward.

-- Disconnect the hose -7- for the central venting system.

-- Pry out the battery upward from the luggage compartment.
