Left Seal, Replacing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Seal Installer - Flange Shaft: 3305
Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143
Grease. Refer to the Parts Information

Procedure

Transmission installed

NOTE:

Observe general notes. Refer to GENERAL INFORMATION .

Follow the rules for clean working conditions. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

General repair instructions. Refer to GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION .

-- Remove the left flange shaft. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seal using the : T20143/1 or : T20143/2 .

-- Coat outer circumference and sealing lips of new seal with transmission fluid.

-- Fill the space between the sealing- and dust lip -arrow- half way with sealing grease; sealing grease. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Install the seal all the way in using the : 3350 . Be careful not to tilt it.

-- Install the left flange shaft. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
