Gear Oil, Filling

All safety precautions and test conditions must be followed.

-- Route the hose for the :VAS6291A upward.

-- Install the :VAS6291/3 until it stops.

-- Attach the charging device hose with the :VAS6291/3 .

-- Check if the valve -arrow- is closed.

-- Attach the oil container -A- to the :VAS6291A .

-- Open the valve -arrow- and hold up the oil container as illustrated.

When gear oil flows out at the :VAS6291/3 , the gear oil level is OK.

-- Tip the oil container so that any excess oil can flow back into the container.

-- When there is no more oil flowing back, disconnect the charging device by pushing the tab.

-- Remove the :VAS6291/3 .

Specified value: gear oil level up to lower edge of the oil filler hole.

Assembling

Assembly is performed in the reverse order, while noting the following:

-- Replace the oil filler hole plug.
