Transmission Fluid Pan, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER [For engine(s) CNTC]AIR FILTER [For engine(s) CZRA] for TFSI engines or AIR FILTER [For engine(s) CNTC]AIR FILTER [For engine(s) CZRA] for TDI engines.

-- Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the front bracket from the transmission fluid pan.

CAUTION:

- Do not touch the connector terminals.

- Touch a grounded object (for example the hoist) and discharge any static electricity.

-- Turn the twist lock counter-clockwise in direction of -arrow- to disconnect the connector -1- for the Dual-Clutch Transmission Mechatronic -J743-

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2- and remove the air duct hose.

All Vehicles:

-- Place the : SMN372500 underneath.

-- Loosen the bolts -arrows- diagonally.

-- Remove the transmission fluid pan -A- with the transmission fluid pan gasket. While doing so, allow the transmission fluid remaining in the transmission fluid pan to drain into the : SMN372500 .
