Dual Clutch, Removing: Procedure

• Transmission secured vertically to the engine/transmission holder. Refer to SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .

-- Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Replace the transmission fluid filter. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Pry out the shaft seal -2- for the clutch end cover using a screwdriver -1- in direction of -arrow- and remove it.

-- Pry the clutch end cover -2- out through the opening for the starter using a screwdriver -1- or an extractor lever in direction of -arrow- and remove it.

-- Pry out the drive plate circlip -2- using a screwdriver -1- in direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the drive plate in direction of -arrows-.

-- Pry out the circlip -arrow- using a screwdriver or needle nose pliers.

• The circlip must be replaced.

-- Carefully remove the dual clutch from the transmission.

-- Carefully remove the dual clutch from the transmission.

-- When the dual clutch is removed, check if the clutch housing was damaged during removal.

-- Remove the pump shaft -A- and move it to the side.
