Oil Pan Lower Section, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to RADIATOR GRILLE/FRONT TRIM .

-- Remove the right front wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Release and remove the connector -arrow- from the Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-.

-- Loosen the fasteners -arrows-, and remove the oil pan noise insulation -1-.

-- Drain engine oil. Refer to appropriate service information. OVERVIEW - FENDER REPAIR KIT

-- Loosen and remove bolts -1 through 20- diagonally.

-- Install a bolt for the oil pan lower section eight turns on the threaded hole -arrow-.

TIP

At approximately eight turns the bonding loosens audibly. If the bolt is installed too far, the oil pan can become deformed.

• Do not install the bolts with great force.
• Do not bend when loosening the oil pan lower section bonding.

-- Insert the :T10383/2  at the loosened position -arrow-.

-- Place the opening on the :T10383/2  on the bolt.

-- Carefully drive in the wedge with a plastic mallet.

-- Carefully loosen the oil pan lower section from the bond.

-- While doing so, move the :T10383/2  and loosen the bonding at the other positions.
