Overview - Bevel Box

- Between the bevel box and the transmission

- Installing. Refer to BEVEL BOX, INSTALLING
- Drain Plug
- Threads greased: 11 Nm
- Threads dry: 20 Nm
- Replace after removing
- With permanent seal
- Transmission Fluid Filler Plug
- Threads greased: 11 Nm
- Threads dry: 20 Nm
- Always replace after removing
- With permanent seal
- Seal
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING
- For the right flange shaft
- Bleed Pipe
- For bleeding the bevel box
- Press it all the way
- Cap
- For bleeding the bevel box
- Right Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH ALL WHEEL DRIVE .
- Seal
- Remove to replace needle bearing (polygon bearing) -item 10-.
- Insert in the surrounding right flange shaft groove
- Needle Bearing (Polygon Bearing)
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT NEEDLE BEARING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Locking Ring
- Replace after removing
- Twelve-Point Nut
- 340 ± 15 Nm
- Always replace after removing
- Secure the new nuts using caulk. Refer to OUTPUT FLANGE SEAL, REPLACING .
- Bevel Box Output Flange
- Shim
- No replacement part
- Seal
- Replacing. Refer to OUTPUT FLANGE SEAL, REPLACING
- For output flange bevel box
- Tapered Bearing Inner Race
- No replacement part
- Bolt
- 38 Nm
- Pinion Housing
- No replacement part
- With shaft bevel gear and outer race for tapered roller bearing
- Carefully pry out from side to side
- Pay attention to the threaded inserts; the drive pinion housing fits only in one position
- O-Ring
- To replace remove the bolts -17- and pry the pinion housing on the notches in the pinion housing.
- Do not remove the twelve-point nut -12- and the output flange -13-.
- Shim
- No replacement part
- Note the bevel box fastening hole; The shim only fits one way.
- Cover
- No replacement part
