Dual Clutch, Removing: Procedure

Secure the transmission vertically to the Engine/Transmission Holder. Refer to SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .

-- Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Replace the transmission oil filter. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seal -2- from the clutch end cover with a screwdriver -1- in direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the clutch end cover -2- through the opening for the starter using a screwdriver -1- or a pry bar in direction of -arrow-.

NOTE:

If the clutch end cover will be replaced.

-- Remove the locking ring -2- from the drive plate with a screwdriver -1- in direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the drive plate in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the locking ring -arrow- using screwdriver or needle nose pliers.

NOTE:

The locking ring is replaced.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the clutch.

Pay attention that the components of the clutch do not fall out. Never turn the clutch.

-- Carefully remove the double clutch from the transmission.

-- When the clutch is removed, check whether clutch bell housing was damaged during removal.

-- Pull out the pump shaft -A- and lay it to the side.
