Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

Replace the seals and O-ring after removal.

-- Coat the new O-rings -4- with coolant.

-- Make sure that both centering pins are installed in the cylinder block if necessary insert.

-- Install the connection piece -2- into the engine oil cooler -1-.

-- Push the Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493- -item 3- into the connection piece and onto the centering pins in the cylinder block.

-- Install the coolant pump. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-. Refer to Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Additional procedures depending on the model. Refer to OVERVIEW - COOLANT PUMP/COOLANT THERMOSTAT

-- Perform the adaptation after replacing using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
