Impact Member, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the headlamps. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the radiator air duct. Refer to RADIATOR AIR DUCT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove screws -arrows-, and remove the bracket -1-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- on the Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17- -item 3-.

-- Free up the wiring harness on the lock carrier.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and remove the signal horn with bracket.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and arrows-.

-- Pull the lock carrier -1- slightly forward -arrow A-, tip the top of the impact member -2- forward -arrow B- and remove it from the lock carrier.

-- If the impact member is to be replaced, remove the following components additionally:

• Molded Foam Piece. Refer to MOLDED FOAM PART, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
• Remove the bracket for the outside air temperature sensor. Refer to Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17- BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
• Distance regulation control module bracket. Refer to OVERVIEW - ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL .
