Entry Assistance Cable B, Removing And Installing: Removing
- Follow all pyrotechnic components safety precautions, refer to PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.
-- Remove the front seat, refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fasten the front seat on the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture :VAS6136 , refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .
-- Move the front seat all the way up.
-- Remove the seat side trim on the tunnel side, refer to SEAT SIDE TRIM ON THE TUNNEL SIDE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Turn the backrest adjustment hand wheel forward until stop.
-- Disengage the cable B bracket -2- for entry assistance from the bracket on the seat pan.
-- Disengage the eyelet -1- of the entry assistance cable B from the pins on the longitudinal adjuster.
-- Disengage the bracket -1- of the entry assistance cable B from the backrest hinge, to do this release the catches -arrow-.
-- Disengage the eyelet -2- of the entry assistance cable B with a screwdriver from the backrest hinge pins and remove.
