Disconnecting Airbag Connector
-- Move the front seat all the way to the rear and then into its highest position.
-- Remove the expanding clip -2- and fold up the section of the carpet -1-.
-- Unclip the cable holder -3-.
WARNING:
- Follow all pyrotechnic components safety precautions, refer to PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.
-- Disconnect the connector -5- for the side airbag from the connector station, to do this release the retaining tabs. Refer to illustration above.

-- Connect Airbag Lockout Adapter :VAS6282 connector to the side airbag harness connector.
CAUTION:
The Airbag Lockout Adapter :VAS6282 must stay connected to seat until seat is installed again.
NOTE:
Ensure airbag adapter engages correctly.
