Overview - Power Steering Pump, Vehicles Without Dynamic Steering With 8-Cylinder Engine

NOTE:

Always replace seals.

Do not reuse fluid you have drained.

Only use Hydraulic Fluid.

1. Bolt
   • Transmission/engine/power steering pump bolt
   • It is not possible to remove the bolt completely due to lack of space. (The bolt remains in its installed position after it has been loosened). For this reason, it is permitted to use the bolt again when removing and installing the power steering pump.
   • Tightening specification. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0BK] Transmission Tightening Specifications .
2. Bolt
   • 25 Nm
3. Seal
   • Replace after each removal. Refer to Replace the seal -arrow- 
4. Input Shaft
   • Grease the splines on the input shaft and power steering pump all the way around
   • Grease the hole on the pump side and on the engine side or on the end of the shaft. For allocation. Refer to the Parts information.
5. Intake Hose
   • The "P" marking on the intake hose must align with the seam on the power steering pump. Refer to Loosen the clamp -2- and remove the suction hose -1- from the power steering pump .
6. Clamp
   • Always replace if removed
7. Power Steering Pump
   • For allocation. Refer to the Parts information.
   • Fill with Hydraulic Fluid before installing
   • Delivery pressure, checking. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP DELIVERY PRESSURE, CHECKING, VEHICLES WITH 8-CYLINDER ENGINE .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITHOUT DYNAMIC STEERING WITH 8-CYLINDER ENGINE .
8. Seal
   • Always replace if removed
9. Pressure Line
   CAUTION:

   • Insert the pressure line completely when installing.
10. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
