Overview - Power Steering Pump, Vehicles With Dynamic Steering With 8-Cylinder Engine

NOTE:

Always replace seals.

Do not reuse fluid you have drained.

Only use Hydraulic Fluid.

1. Bolt
   • Transmission/engine/power steering pump bolt
   • It is not possible to remove the bolt completely due to lack of space. (The bolt remains in its installed position after it has been loosened). For this reason, it is permitted to use the bolt again when removing and installing the Power Steering Pump -V119-.
   • Tightening specification. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0BK] Transmission Tightening Specifications .
2. Bolt
   • 25 Nm
3. Seal
   • Replace after each removal. Refer to Replace the seal -arrow-. Refer to 
4. Input Shaft
   • Grease the splines on the input shaft and power steering pump all the way around
   • Grease the hole on the pump side and on the engine side or on the end of the shaft. For allocation. Refer to the Parts information.
5. Pressure Line with Union Nut
   • 40 Nm
   • Note the installation position: the angle between the line connection and the power steering pump axle must be approximately 7°. Refer to Pay attention to the installed position of the pressure line. The angle between the pressure line and the power steering pump axle is approximately 7°. .
     CAUTION:

     • Insert the pressure line completely when installing.
6. Seal
   • Always replace if removed
7. Power Steering Pump -V119-
   • With Power Steering Pump Regulator Valve --
   • The pump and control valve are a single component and are replaced together.
   • For allocation. Refer to the Parts information.
   • Fill with Hydraulic Fluid before installing
   • Delivery pressure, checking. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP DELIVERY PRESSURE, CHECKING, VEHICLES WITH 8-CYLINDER ENGINE .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH DYNAMIC STEERING WITH 8-CYLINDER ENGINE .
8. Clamp
   • Always replace if removed
9. Intake Hose
   • The "P" marking on the intake hose must align with the seam on the power steering pump. Refer to Pay attention to the installed position of the pressure line. The angle between the pressure line and the power steering pump axle is approximately 7°. The "P" marking on the suction hose -arrow- must align with the formed seam -arrow- on the power steering pump .
