Overview - Power Steering Pump, Vehicles With Dynamic Steering With 6-Cylinder Engine

NOTE:

Always replace seals.

Do not reuse fluid you have drained.

Only use Hydraulic Fluid.

1. Bracket
2. Sleeve
   • Drive the sleeve back slightly to install the power steering pump.
3. Bolt
   • 25 Nm
4. Power Steering Pump
   • For allocation. Refer to the Parts information.
   • Fill with Hydraulic Fluid before installing
   • Delivery pressure, checking. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP DELIVERY PRESSURE, CHECKING, VEHICLES WITH 6-CYLINDER ENGINE .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH DYNAMIC STEERING WITH 6-CYLINDER ENGINE .
5. Intake Hose
   • The "P" marking on the suction hose -arrow- must align with the formed seam -arrow- on the power steering pump.
6. Clamp
   • Tension using Hose Clip Pliers:VAG1275A 
   • Always replace if removed
7. Seal
   • Always replace if removed
8. Union Bolt
   • 38 Nm
9. Pressure Line
   • V6 FSI
     CAUTION:

     • Insert the pressure line completely when installing.
   • Note the installation position: the angle between the line connection to the vertical -arrows- is approximately 48°
10. Pressure Line
    • V6 TDI
      CAUTION:

      • Insert the pressure line completely when installing.
    • Note the installation position: the angle between the line connection to the vertical -arrows- is approximately 10°
11. Union Bolt
    • 38 Nm
12. Bolt
    • 22 Nm
13. Belt Pulley
14. Bolt
    • 25 Nm
