Overview - Bulkhead

  1. Bolt
    • 7 Nm
  2. Lock Washer
    • When installing, simply press the plenum chamber bulkhead onto the threaded pins.
  3. Insulation
    • The lock washer secures the insulation to the plenum chamber bulkhead.
  4. Nut
    • 7 Nm
  5. Plenum Chamber Bulkhead
    NOTE:

    Note the different versions when removing.

    • Before removing:

      -- Remove the tower brace. Refer to TOWER BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

      -- Loosen the washer fluid reservoir.

      NOTE:

      Depending on the engine version, the heater hoses to the plenum chamber bulkhead may also need to be disconnected.

      -- Disconnect the vacuum line to the brake booster at the connection to the plenum chamber bulkhead.

      -- Unclip the vacuum line from the plenum chamber bulkhead.

    • To remove, remove the bolts -1- and nut -4-.
  6. Seal
    • Install the seal from underneath.
  7. Plenum Chamber
  8. Edge Protection
    • Slide the edge protection onto the tab on the plenum chamber bulkhead.
