1. Cover
   • Always replace.
   • Remove the cover carefully using a drift
   • The adhesive surfaces on the cover/inner CV joint must be free of grease when installing.
   • Before mounting on the CV joint, coat the sealing surface with Sealant. Refer To REMOVING A 100 MM DIAMETER OR 108 MM DIAMETER INNER CV JOINT 
2. Locking Ring
   • Always replace.
   • Remove and install using commercially available locking ring pliers.
3. Inner CV Joint
   • Outer diameter: 100 mm
   • Replace only as complete unit.
   • Checking. Refer To INNER CV JOINT, CHECKING .
   • Removing. Refer To DRIVE AXLE, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING, DRIVE AXLE WITH 100 MM OR 108 MM DIAMETER INNER CV JOINT 
   • Installing. Refer To INSTALLING A CLAMP ON THE INNER JOINT AND CLAMPING 
   • Grease quantity and type. Refer To GREASE QUANTITY AND TYPE .
   • The adhesive surfaces on the cover/inner CV joint and protective boot/inner CV joint must be free of grease when installing.
   • When installing joint on axle shaft, splines on axle shaft must be lightly coated with grease used in joint.
4. Inner CV Boot with Cap
   • Always replace.
   • Without vent hole
   • Remove carefully using a drift.
   • Check the inner CV joint if damaged. Refer To INNER CV JOINT, CHECKING .
   • Before mounting on the CV joint, coat the sealing surface with Sealant. Refer To REMOVING A 100 MM DIAMETER OR 108 MM DIAMETER INNER CV JOINT 
   • Align cover to screw holes
   • The adhesive surfaces on the protective boot/inner CV joint must be free of grease when installing.
   • The protective boot/drive axle sealing surfaces must be free of grease when installing.
   • Before tightening clamp, briefly raise CV boot to allow pressure to equalize.
5. Locking Plate
6. Bolt
   • 20 Nm  +90°
   • Always Replace If Removed
7. Clamp
   • Always replace.
   • Tensioning. Refer To INSTALLING A CLAMP ON THE INNER JOINT AND CLAMPING 
8. Drive Axle
   • Removing and installing. Refer To DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
9. CV Boot for Outer CV Joint
   • Without vent hole
   • Check for tears and chafing; replace if necessary
   • Check the outer CV joint if damaged. Refer To OUTER CV JOINT, CHECKING .
   • The protective boot/outer CV joint sealing surfaces must be free of grease when installing.
   • The protective boot/drive axle sealing surfaces must be free of grease when installing.
   • Before tightening clamp, briefly raise CV boot to allow pressure to equalize.
10. Clamp
    • Opening. Refer To OPEN THE CLAMP USING 
    • Tensioning. Refer To INSTALLING CLAMP ON 88 mm OR 100 mm DIAMETER OUTER JOINT .
11. Locking Ring
    • Always replace.
    • Insert before mounting in ring groove (not visible with joint installed)
    • Before installing CV joint, align sealing ring in center with opening facing upward.
12. Outer CV Joint
    • Outer circumference: 88 mm
    • Replace only as complete unit.
    • Checking. Refer To OUTER CV JOINT, CHECKING .
    • Removing. Refer To DRIVE AXLE, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING, DRIVE AXLE WITH 88 MM OR 100 MM DIAMETER CV JOINT .
    • Installing: Drive onto shaft with plastic mallet until the compressed circlip seats.
    • Circlip must lie in joint chamfer when guiding in, guide with pliers if necessary.
    • Grease quantity and type. Refer To GREASE QUANTITY AND TYPE .
    • The protective boot/outer CV joint sealing surfaces must be free of grease when installing.
    • When installing joint on axle shaft, splines on axle shaft must be lightly coated with grease used in joint.
13. Bolt
    • 200 Nm  +180°
    • Always replace.
    • Follow the assembly information when loosening and tightening. Refer To DRIVE AXLE THREADED CONNECTION, LOOSENING AND TIGHTENING .
