Condenser, Checking Version: Notes

NOTE:

Depending on when the vehicle was manufactured, on the version of the vehicle and on the engine, different condensers are installed on these vehicles. Refer to the Parts Information. These condensers different in their inner construction and volume. The refrigerant circuit capacity depends on the condenser. Always see which version of the condenser is installed when determining the refrigerant capacity.

Currently condensers made by different manufacturers are being installed ("Denso" and "Showa/Keihin"). Each has specific distinguishing marks.

A condenser from one manufacturer can have a different construction but from the outside only the part number is different. The construction (different flow distribution, different inner volume) determines the refrigerant capacity for the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CAPACITIES .

CHECKING

-- Remove the bolts (or clips) -1, 2, 3 and 5-. Refer to LOCK CARRIER .
