Wheel Bearing Unit, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the drive axle. Refer To DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Insert both of upper control arm joint pins -2- in the wheel bearing housing and insert the bolt -1-.
This Step Is Necessary To Avoid Damage To Suspension Components When Loosening And Tightening The Cap Screws.
-- Remove brake caliper and secure it to the body so that the weight of the brake caliper does not stress or damage the brake hose or brake line. Refer To the appropriate Service Information .
-- Remove the brake rotor.
-- Remove the Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor --. Refer To RIGHT FRONT ABS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR -G45- AND LEFT FRONT ABS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR -G47- .
-- Remove the cap screws -arrows-.
-- Remove wheel bearing unit.
- Avoid contaminating with dirt and damaging the seal when setting down/storing.
- The wheel bearing -1- must face up in order to remove the wheel bearing unit.
- Always set the wheel bearing unit down on the wheel hub -2-.
- Never reach into the inside when lifting the wheel bearing.
- Hold the wheel bearing only on the outside.
-- Service the wheel bearing unit. Refer To WHEEL BEARING UNIT, SERVICING .
