Suspension Strut, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove The Wheel.
-- Secure The Wheel Bearing Housing Using A :T10038 , as shown.
Applies To A Vehicle With Electronically Controlled Damping
-- Disengage And Disconnect The Connector -3-.
-- Remove The Fasteners -1 And 2-.
Applies To Vehicles With Dynamic Ride Control (DRC)
-- Bleed The DRC System (Dynamic Ride Control). Refer To DYNAMIC RIDE CONTROL (DRC), SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- In Vehicles With Switchable DRC And Variable Damping, Remove The Connector -2- On The Additional Component With Integrated Electric Motor From The Bracket, Disconnect It, And Free It Up.
-- Remove The Union Bolt -1- And Free Up The Hose Line.
- Protect Any Open Connections Against Dirt.
Continuation For All Vehicles
-- Remove The Shock Absorber Fork. Refer To SHOCK ABSORBER FORK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect The Threaded Connection -1-.
-- Remove Both Joint Pins In The Upper Control Arm -2- From The Wheel Bearing Housing.
The Slits In The Wheel Bearing Housing Must Not Be Widened Using A Chisel Or Similar Tool!
-- Remove The Plenum Chamber Cover On The Affected Side Or The Entire Plenum Chamber Cover. Refer To PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE
-- Remove The Nut -1- And Tilt The Washer Fluid Reservoir Filler Neck Back Slightly In Direction Of -arrow A-.
-- Remove The Filler Neck -2- With The Filler Tube From The Washer Fluid Reservoir And The Opening In The Body In Direction Of -arrow B-.
-- Remove The Bolts -Arrows- And The Left E-Box Cover.
-- All Models Except RS: Remove The Nuts -Arrows-, Lift The Coolant Reservoir Upward And Lay It Aside.
BOTH SIDES
-- Remove The Bolts -Arrows- And Remove The Suspension Strut With The Mounting Bracket.
