Wheels, Installing Correctly
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
-- Be sure to follow the points so that the installed wheel fits securely:
- Before installing the wheel: Check for rust/corrosion product between the rim and the wheel hub as well as in the wheel bolt seats and on the contact surfaces, remove if necessary. Otherwise there will be a loss of pretension on the wheel bolts and this loosens the rim.
- When installing a wheel: Do not tighten the wheel bolts completely right away, for example, using an impact wrench. Otherwise it is no longer possible to center the rim correctly and it could come loose again.
- Always tighten wheel bolts to the tightening specification so the wheel bolt seats in rim are not deformed.
