Power Steering System, Checking For Leaks And Fluid Level And Adding Fluid

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

NOTE:

The Fluid Level Is Correct Only When The Cap Is On.

-- With engine not running, turn the front wheels in straight-ahead position.

-- Remove the cap.

-- Clean the dipstick with clean cloth.

-- Install the cap hand-tight and then remove it again.

The Fluid Level Must Be In -A- Range.

-- Remove The Cap.

-- Clean the dipstick with clean cloth.

-- Install the cap hand-tight and then remove it again.

The Fluid Level Must Be In The -B- Range.

NOTE:

If Fluid Level Is Above Specified Range, Then Some Fluid Must Be Siphoned Off.

CAUTION:

If The Fluid Level Is Below The Specified Level, Check The Hydraulic System For Leaks. It Is Not Sufficient Just To Add Fluid (Repair Procedure).

-- Screw In Cap Hand Tight.
