Brake Pads, Checking Thickness: Notes

WARNING:
Replace The Brake Pads Once They Have Reached The Wear Limit. Perform The Repairs And Inform The Customer.
Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required
- Test pin:T40139
NOTE:
Use The Thin Measuring Pin (Brake Symbol) To Measure The Brake Pad Thickness.
-- Slide the sliding ring all the way in the direction of the measuring point.
-- Place the tip of the test pin on the brake rotor.
-- Slide the test pin evenly in the direction of the brake pad until the test pin touches the brake pad backing plate.
-- Remove the test pin and read the value on the scale.
NOTE:
Make Sure The Sliding Ring Does Not Move, Otherwise The Measurement Will Be Incorrect.
It is required to remove the wheels for specific tire combinations. Refer to WHEEL BOLTS, TIGHTENING .
