Vehicle Checks During Inspection And Maintenance

It is recommended to use VAS 5000 or VAG 1858 to perform the vehicle tests.

Brakes Inspection

Refer to the brake system service information for more information about testing brakes on FWD and AWD vehicles.

Performance Check

Perform a performance check only on test stands recommended by Audi AG. The corresponding correction factors for automatic transmissions and AWD are provided in these test stands. Vehicles with AWD may only be tested on a four-wheel performance test stand.

Tachometer Check

With the tachometer test, the vehicle wheels are driven. Vehicles with AWD may only be tested on a four-wheel test stand.

Shock Absorber Check

Information on testing shock absorbers can be found in the suspension service information.
