Headrest Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:

Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer To SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

-- Remove the head restraints:

Side Locks, Opening

-- Open the side locks -arrows- on the cover -1-.

-- Slide the Trim Removal Wedge:3409 or a flat-head screwdriver in the direction of the -arrow A- between the cover lock -1-.

-- Bend the lower U-channel -3- in the direction of the -arrow B-.

-- Pull the upper side of the cover with the flat channel -2- out of the U-channel -3-.

Main Lock, Opening

-- Slide the Trim Removal Wedge:3409 or a flat-head screwdriver between the cover lock.

-- Bend the lower U-channel -1- in the direction of the -arrow A-.

-- Pull the upper side of the cover with the flat channel -2- out of the U-channel -1-.

NOTE:

The Cover Must Be Completely Open To Remove The Padding.

-- Remove cushion -1- from cover -2-.
