Driver/Front Passenger Backrest Heating Element -Z7- / -Z9-, Removing And Installing, Bucket Seat: Removing

-- Remove the backrest cushion and place on a soft surface. Refer To OVERVIEW - BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, BUCKET SEAT .

NOTE:

The Electrical Wiring Harness For The Module Carrier Must Not Be Disconnected From The Seat Pan.

-- Disconnect the electrical harness connector for the backrest heating element.

-- Cut wire -6- off directly at the old seat heating element -arrow-.

NOTE:

The Old Seat Heating Element Remains On The Upholstery And The New Seat Heating Element Is Bonded Over It.

-- Remove the old electrical connection wire.

-- Disconnect electrical connecting wires -5 and 7- to the heating elements at the backrest bolsters.
