Cigarette Lighter -U1-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal. Note The Following:

CAUTION:

Risk Of Injury.

After removing the Cigarette Lighter Release Tool:T40148 , check to see if the lighter retaining tabs are bent.
If the retaining tabs are bent, bend them back so the lighter does not slide out.

-- Remove the support -1- on the Cigarette Lighter Release Tool:T40148 .

-- Slide the piston down and hold it in place.

-- Turn the thumbwheel -4- on the Cigarette Lighter Release Tool:T40148 counter-clockwise -arrow-. While doing so, the release tabs -2- are loosened on the Cigarette Lighter -U1- -item 3- and the Cigarette Lighter Release Tool:T40148 can be removed.

-- Slide the cigarette lighter illumination ring into the mount until the clips engage.

The illumination ring can only be inserted into the mount in one position.
