Entry Assistance Release Cable B, Removing And Installing: Removing

Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

-- Turn on the ignition.

-- Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove The Front Seat:

Standard seat and Sport seat (manual). Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MANUAL .

-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Move the backrest forward as far as the stop using the handwheel.

-- Disengage the >>entry assistance<< release cable B eyelets -3- from the pin -arrow- on the seat rail.

-- Unclip the >>entry assistance<< release cable B -3- at the seat forward/back adjuster -2-.

-- Push the upholstery to the side.

-- Disengage the eyelet on the >>entry assistance<< release cable B -1- from the pin -arrow- on the backrest hinge.

-- Disengage the retainer on the >>entry assistance<< release cable B at the backrest hinge and remove the remove the >>entry assistance<< release cable B.
