Entry Assistance Release Cable A, Removing And Installing: Removing
- Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.
-- Turn on the ignition.
-- Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Remove The Front Seat:
- Standard seat and Sport seat (manual). Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MANUAL .
-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .
-- Remove the tunnel-side trim. Refer to TUNNEL-SIDE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD SEAT, SPORT SEAT, SUPER SPORT SEAT .
-- Move the backrest forward as far as the stop using the handwheel.
-- Disengage the >>entry assistance<< release cable A -1- at the backrest hinge.
-- Remove the >>entry assistance<< release cable A guide -2- from the seat frame.
-- Unclip the control cable bracket of >>entry assistance<< release cable A -1- at the seat forward/back adjuster -2-.
-- Disengage the >>entry assistance<< release cable A -1- at the seat forward/back adjuster -2- and remove it.
